Dr. Peyman Raoofi is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with a strong academic and professional background. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with Summa Cum Laude honors from California State University, Northridge. He went on to receive his Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology and later earned his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University.
Dr. Raoofi has completed specialized training in the science of well-being and health psychology through programs at Johns Hopkins University and Yale University. He has published multiple research papers on Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Currently, Dr. Raoofi runs his own private practice, providing therapy for individuals, couples, and families. In addition, he serves as a consulting psychologist for several long-term care facilities and nursing homes, and supervises social workers at Sinai Adult Health Care Center.
Dr. Raoofi holds leadership roles in numerous professional and humanitarian organizations. He is the 2024 President of the Los Angeles County Psychological Association, Treasurer of the Iranian Psychological Association of America, a board member of Save a Child International Foundation, and Founder and CEO of Children Global Health, a CA nonprofit organization focused on improving access to mental and physical health services for children worldwide.
He previously served as President of Child Foundation USA. He also served as Chair of the 2025 Convention Committee for the California Psychological Association and is a member of the Executive Committee of the Psychology Coalition at the United Nations (PCUN), contributing to global mental health advocacy and policy.
His dedication to service has been recognized both nationally and internationally. Dr. Raoofi is a recipient of the Gold Honor from the U.S. President’s Volunteer Service Award under President George W. Bush and the Call to Service Award under President Barack Obama. He has also been named an Honorary Ambassador by UNICEF and was honored as a Mental Health Hero by The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
As an international speaker, Dr. Raoofi has delivered talks at numerous prestigious institutions, including MIT, UCLA, USC, Cal State LA, The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, California School of Psychology, Pepperdine University, Sharif University, and Tehran University.
He has also been featured on various television and radio programs, including Voice of America, BBC, NBC, Spectrum News, Manoto, Radio Hamrah, and KIRN 670AM.
